State Senator Visiting 3/4th Grade Classroom, Monday, March 28th
In honor of National Reading Month (March), State Senator Dave Robertson is coming to read to our 3rd/4th graders on Monday, March 28th at 3:00 p.m.

Career Day, Thursday, March 24th, 7th-12 Grade
Grades 7-12 will learn about careers from speakers including a police office, pastor, air traffic controller, teacher, EMT, electrician, doctor, landscaper, professor, attorney and engineer.

My Lead Representative Chosen

ACT/MME Auxiliary Center Testing & Prep Information

The NEW dates for the off campus ACT/MME Auxiliary Off-Campus Testing are March 1, 2, 3. There are four locations in Michigan which have yet to be announced. This testing is free to Juniors who must provide their own transportation to the center as well as to senior that have not taken the test. The ACT can be retaking during the year for a small fee at different locations throughout Michigan.

One-day ACT Workshop at Southwestern Academy. The workshop will cover standardized test taking strategies, improve your English, math, science reasoning, reading and writing skills. Lunch provided. Instructor: Mrs. Terri Martin $25 for resident, $45 for non-resident – Dates are November 20, 2010, February 5, 2011, March 19, 2011 from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm

SAT/ACT Testing Dates for 2010 – 2011 are held at Southwestern Academy on Saturdays at 7:45 a.m.

Scholastic Book Fair a Success!

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! This year’s Scholastic Book Fair sold $2,240.00 which earned the school $1,232.00. We have purchased an Optoma Digital Multimedia Projector with some of the earnings. A special THANK YOU to Mrs. Marge Goza for heading up the fair. Also thank you to all those who purchased books and volunteered. We couldn’t have done it without you!
