“My class has been working on a Civil Rights- Voices of Freedom Quilt. They each received a quote by an influential African American. Each student had to illustrate the meaning of their quote. Then, they had to research the author of their quote and report three interesting facts about them. They did such an amazing job! I am SO proud!” – Courtney Jones (1st/2nd Grade teacher)
“We learned about Harriet Tubman today and made a craft! We have been learning how to write facts using our own words. They are doing a fantastic job! I love seeing how creative these kiddos can get and how much pride they take in their work!” – Courtney Jones (1st/2nd Grade teacher)
