Admissions

The following steps will guide you through your application process. Please feel free to contact us at (810) 743-0055 with any questions as you proceed.

Admission of new students will be conducted as follows:

  1. Parents must complete and return all enrollment forms. Achievement test scores should be included at this time, as well as a current report card.
  2. A personal interview must be completed and properly evaluated.
  3. Testing must be completed and properly evaluated.
  4. Transcripts and records from preceding school must be obtained within the first month of attendance.

Requirements for parents are as follows:

Faithway Christian School expects both parents to be practicing Christians. If only one parent is a Christian, the following is required:

  1. The non-Christian parent must be amenable to having their child(ren) educated in a strong Christian environment. God has created the child so that the parent is the primary influence in shaping his outlook and personality. This influence must be pro-Christian. If it is anti-Christian, most of the influence of the Christian school will be counteracted by the home and a partnership with the school cannot result.
  2. The non-Christian parent must agree with the enrollment of the children and must sign all necessary forms.
  3. The family should attend church regularly.
  4. Family Bible reading and prayer should be a part of the normal home routine.
  5. The primary motive for enrollment must be spiritual training.
  6. The parents must share the school’s philosophy of discipline.
  7. The family will agree to work in a partnership with the school and back the school fully in training the child.
  8. Tuition payments will be made on a regular basis.

Requirements of the student are as follows:

  1. The student must be able to do the required academic work.
  2. The student’s present attitude and behavior must fit into Faithway Christian School student body.
  3. The student’s life-style must be compatible to the Faithway Christian School body.
  4. Middle and high school students who do not want to be here should not be enrolled at Faithway Christian School.
  5. The student will agree to study and comply with all the policies of the student handbook of Faithway Christian School.

Due to the current facilities and personnel, it is necessary that we refrain from admitting students with special education designations: e.g., retardation, emotional, or mental impairment (EMI), learning disabled (LD), or other problems that might affect the classroom teacher’s ability to operate an effective learning program for the majority of the class.

NON-DISCRIMINATORY ADMISSIONS POLICY

Faithway Christian School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration or its educational policies, admission policies, or other school-administered programs.
